Introducing Jacqueline Enright - Stepdance and Fiddle Teacher!

I have been dancing since I was three years old. My mother, Agnes Leahy, was my first teacher. I have travelled with the Leahy family since I was three months old, and this rich musical environment has been one of my greatest and lasting musical influences. I began taking proper step-dancing lessons from Gilles Roy when I was 6 years old. I went on to dance competitively across Ontario, capturing several championships in the 18 & under category. I have enjoyed performing across the Ottawa Valley with my siblings and cousins, along with talented musicians like Louis Schryer, Gail Gavin and the Ryans. I have continued to perform with the Leahy's, dancing in venues such as the National Arts Center and Koerner Hall. Music continues to be a central part of my life, and I enjoy teaching at the Leahy Music Camp each summer. I am currently studying law with a concentration in transnational law and human rights at Carleton University.
